Loy Krathong Festival 2015.

Tonight was Loy Krathong! One of the most popular festivals in Bangkok... people release floats decorated with flowers, candles and incense. We headed to Wat Yannawa Temple near Saphan Taksin station to get our float and release all bad feelings, make wishes for the future and pay respects to the water goddess.

We found a cute little float for 30bht, lit the candle and incense, made our wishes and passed it to one of the river co-ordinaries who gently lowered it onto the river... we watched it float for about 10 min before it was scooped up to be re-sold! The kiddies floats are super cute.. they dissolve and become food for the fish. Sadly we missed the fireworks and decided to head back after the first few rain drops fell and me being traumatized that my feelings and wishes had been yanked out the river and re-sold!!
